Yumbassadors Sam, Shine, Nasser and Francis

Aside from meeting the Boy Scouts who volunteered for the Maaga ang Pasko Clean Up Drive I was also happy to meet some of the yumbassadors Shine, Nasser and Francis.

Shine Plata is a coffee painter, she is the ambassador for art.  I am so inspired by her story when she said that she doesn't want to bother her parents to spend for her art materials so she thought of something inexpensive medium of art. And she started using coffee to create her paintings. She showed us some of her works and it was amazing, it was very interesting to imagine how she could use coffee to make beautiful paintings. More than being a great artist she has a good heart for the kids because she also teaches them to learn coffee painting for free. Check out her works here http://d1wata.wordpress.com/

Nasser Lubay is a visual artist/funny guy, he's fun to be with and I can say that he has an attitude that represents his kind of art. He is also an ambassador for art, and he is someone that we Filipinos can be proud of. He paints the positive side of life and he shares it to the kids. He was the Young Filipino painter wins art contest in Germany ( source )

He is a 26-year old self-taught painter from Quezon bagged second place honors in the painting category of the prestigious Celeste Prize 2009 in Berlin, Germany.

The Celeste Prize, an international art competition for contemporary artists, is organized by a non-profit Italian cultural association, ‘Associazione Culturale L’Albero Celeste’ founded by Steven Music. The final selection of winners was held at the Alte AEG Fabrik in Berlin last Sept. 26.

Francis Alcantara , the country's first grand slam tennis champion, and the world's top 14 tennis player. He is the ambassador for sport.
He is a good example to kids because he promotes physical fitness. More than playing tennis he loves teaching the kids and that is what makes him a true ambassador not only of sport but goodwill.
